- I'm a longtime journalist, a divorced mom of a son in college, and have been absolutely, totally nuts about New Hampshire since I first set foot there 10 years ago.
I thought at first it was just, I don't know, the fall foliage, or the mountains, or something very touristy. But this just hasn't gone away. I read the local papers online, I try to keep up with current events, I know NH has its own problems -- all places do -- but there's just an attraction that I've given up trying to figure out. So, I want to move and preferably to the Whites.
- Favorite Music:
- Just about everything, but especially smooth jazz and classical, also oldies. Hip-hop and country are way lower on the list than other types. I do like country rock, though, like Creedence Clearwater Revival.
- Favorite TV Shows:
- Not too big on network TV but I watch a lot of PBS, Grey's Anatomy, Men in Trees, the Sunday morning news programs. So far, I've refused to get cable (I've had it twice) but it's going to be almost unavoidable when the analog switch happens next year. On cable, I love the Discovery Channel, History Network or whatever it's called, Comedy Central, Nick at Nite.
- Favorite New Hampshire Restaurant:
- I've got several: The Chalet in North Woodstock, Horsefeathers in North Conway, the Common Man chain.
- Favorite New Hampshire Town:
- I'm always drawn to North Conway, so I'd say that's it, so far. But Meredith is awesome, so is Concord. Portsmouth, of course. Tough question. I've been to quite a few that I thought were great.

I see that you're looking to relocate to our beautiful state. This is definitely the place to come when you need some advice from some Granite State experts.
Although I do have to tell you, I've visited Chicago a few times and fell in love with it. Such a great city, but there is something special about NH too.
