As you may know I am trying to help out the NH Food Bank and I'm working on the International Fantasy Hair Competition fund raiser to help feed the hungry here in NH.

If you are going to be in the Manchester area on Thursday, April 23, please consider purchasing a ticket to the International Fantasy Hair Competition, sponsored by CB Sullivan Company, to benefit the NH Food Bank. Tickets are just $35 each. We are about to host one of the grandest, most outlandish fashion shows of hair-art this region has ever known! You are going to be amazed at what you see. Men, women, girls on a night out, teens, and even families will enjoy this show. Even though you're in Manchester, N.H., you'll feel like you're in Paris or Milan!

Contestants are coming not only from all over New England, but as far away as Texas, Florida, Arizona and Minnesota to entertain you. Each stylist brings their own model - gorgeous, long-legged models, but that's beside the point. The Competition is all about hair: giant, gravity-defying, sometimes garish 'dos, stretching skyward in a tangle of chicken-wire, flowers and flashing lights. Anything below the neck is just an accessory! Professionals will compete for the grand prize of $7,500 provided by AutoFair of Manchester, a second place prize of $3,000 provided by CB Sullivan Company, and a third place prize of $1,000 provided by Central Paper.

The hair-art with the most points (as decided by a panel of three celebrity judges by majority vote) will win both the cash prize and bragging rights as the winner of a highly-acclaimed event, receiving both national and worldwide media attention. We have been informed by the Associated Press and World News that both will be covering the event.

Big is the name of the game: there will be big hair, a really big opening, big music and a big media party after the event. Last year, several thousand people attended. It will prove a great way to spend a Thursday evening. And perhaps most importantly, all ticket sales will benefit the NH Food Bank. With the high cost of home heating fuel and high food prices, this winter is going to be exceedingly challenging for many NH families. Countless numbers of children across our state will have to depend on the Food Bank for their daily meals and proper nutrition.

* So check your calendar and e-mail me to say: "Yes, I want two tickets!"

We have VIP tickets available as well! If you want more information on this great event, go to www.nhfoodbank.org; there's so much to see.
If you are a business owner or are in a position to direct where your company's charitable giving goes, then please also consider asking your employees to purchase tickets to Manchester's most fun and awe-inspiring event, at the Verizon Wireless Arena.

* Would you please consider purchasing a couple of tickets for this wonderfully fun fund raiser?

Thank you for your help. If there was ever a time I needed your help, it is now.
