- My family and I just moved to Thornton in August from RI. I recently retired from the rat race and was looking for a quieter smaller community to raise our daughter in. Thornton was just what we we're looking for. We look forward to spending more time outdoors and being close to the things we love. We also hope to make many new friends here.
