My first one is I hate it when I buy something sealed in plastic and it take you an hour just to get it open. You end up scurrying around for sissors, a knife or a box cutter. They just infurate me so much. Makes me want to curse everytime I try to open them.
My second pet peeve is a punctuation error. Periods and commas ALWAYS go inside closing quote marks. Start watching for it. You will find it is almost always done wrong. Let's get with it people. Now that I've brought it to your attention you'll be amazed how often it is done wrong.
I agree with you Kathy - but it's Friday@4:37, and I can't leave work to go to my car & start the slog homeward - even though I can hear the rumble in the parking lot of the snowplow trying to make things passable. Because we have to demonstrate how hale & hearty we are here in the Northeast - that we're not going to let a little snow bother us - but I look around and see that absolutely NO ONE is doing any work...This is an immediate pet peeve of mine...
Well pet peves. People at the supermarket (demoulas) who think they are the only ones in the world at that time. Example the person will leave their cart in the middle of the isle effectivly blocking the isle and not allowing other people get by or, people will place their carts on the side of the isle then another person will enter the isle and not paying attention to the fact that the person coming the other way can't get by.
I almost ran into a woman who was looking at something on the shelf then with her back to me turned and started to walk ahead of me, not looking to see if anyone was coming toward her. My question is do these people drive a car this way.
