Looking for a restaurant that's fun for kids but serves up cuisine that will satisfy the most discerning foodie? How about a bed and breakfast that allows dogs? How about a hike you can make in under two hours that will bring you to one of the best views in the state? That's exactly the sort of thing your friends, neighbors and fellow Granite Staters already know!
The Comfort Inn in Merrimack NH is not a bed and breakfast, but it DOES allow pets, with a smile. I've stayed here twice, and this hotel is central to many southern New Hampshire locations. There are sizeable areas adjacent to the hotel where you can walk your dog on lawn rather than pavement, and it is close to some nice restaurants, and to a central highway if you need to travel far.
I believe that Rattlesnake Mtn in Holderness is what your looking for. It's a FAIRLY EASY walk in the woods and should be done in under 2hrs. I can't think of the Rte Number, but take the road leading to Sandwich, NH right in the middle of town of Holderness. There is a Parking lot that can hold at least a dozen cars, across the street from the trail. It is well marked and fairly Clean, debris and rubbish (not existing) the last time I went. I try to go up once in a while. Enjoy!!!
